How do you size a hakama?
Hakama size is based on an outside leg measurement, taken from the top of the pelvis at the side, down to the centre of the most prominent part of the ankle. You can also measure your existing Hakama, from the underside of the front tie, down to the bottom of front pleats.

How should a kendo gi fit?
A bogu made for you that fits perfectly is very important in Kendo. Balance is important, so make sure to measure yourself so that your bogu is not too tight and not too loose. Your Kendo men should fit perfectly on the chin and around the head with no gaps in between.
