What can I take to Backwell tip?

Backwell Tip is owned and operated by North Somerset Council, Backwell Recycling Centre allows you to dispose of the following items here:

  • Plastic.

How many times can you visit the tip?

The policy allows you to visit up to 52 times in a year in a standard car. Even if you need to visit more often while you’re doing DIY on your home, your visits will be averaged out over the year.

What days can I go to Portishead tip?

10am to 4pm Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. 9am to 4pm Saturday and Sunday. closed Tuesday. 9am to 4pm bank holidays.

10am to 3pm Monday, Tuesday and Friday. 9am to 4pm Saturday and Sunday. closed Wednesday and Thursday.

Do recycling Centres take fridge freezers?

Most empty fridges and freezers (including non-commercial glass fronted fridges) are accepted at recycling centres. If your fridge or freezer is still in good working order, you could donate it to a furniture reuse group such as the Furniture Re-use Network or Freecycle.

Can you take old radiators to tip?

You can recycle your old electrical radiator free of charge at your local household waste recycling centre (HWRC). To find your nearest centre, visit the Recycle More website and type in your postcode.

Is loscoe tip open during lockdown?

Loscoe Household Waste Recycling Centre will reopen to the public on Monday 18 May 2020. It will be open from 8.30am until 6.00pm daily.

What can you not take to the tip?

Unfortunately, any items that you would usually pay to have disposed of will not be accepted – including tyres, gas bottles, soil & hardcore, vehicle parts, commercial waste, plasterboard and Asbestos.

How many people can go to North Somerset recycling centre?

If planning a visit please be considerate, there are limits on the number of people allowed on site at one time. Only making essential trips will allow everyone an opportunity to visit. Restrictions and social distancing are in place to ensure everyone’s safety. During your visit please follow the guidelines and all on-site signs.

Where can I Recycle my waste in Suffolk?

Book your slot at a Suffolk Recycling Centre (Haverhill & Leiston are not currently accepting trade waste).
