Limited Permit X-ray Technologists (XTs) with digital authorization and all Certified Radiologic Technologists (CRTs) need to earn a minimum of 24 approved CE credits, at least four (4) of which are in digital radiography, in the two years prior to the expiration of their certificate/permit.
How do I get CE credits for radiology?
You can earn credits by completing educational activities that meet criteria established by the ARRT. Of the required 24 CE credits, all must be Category A or A+ credit. Earning an additional certification will no longer receive CE credit effective for CE bienniums beginning on or after January 1, 2018.

No. CE hours must be earned in the current reporting period. Any hours completed in excess of the 30 hours required for the reporting period will not be carried over to subsequent reporting periods. CE hours earned for any one program may not be split between two reporting periods.

All states accept ARRT Category A and A+ CE credits.
Can you take more than one X ray course?
An activity or x-ray continuing education course may be available in multiple formats or from different sponsors. ARRT does not allow CE activities such as internet courses, home study programs or directed reading to be repeated for CE credit in the same biennium.
